Bedroom LED Light Dimmer.

Lthrnck1775, it is possible that there are no ground wires in your wall cavity. If t's the case then you won't be able to use that switch. I don't know of a substitute off-hand but there are lot of smart folks on this site that may have another idea.

So if you measure the 12v at the switch one side will have 12v and one won't WHEN THE LIGHT IS OFF. The 12v hot wire is what goes to the IN on the dimmer and the other wire goes to the OUT. Like Jim said, find the white wires in the wall, they should be the ground.
