Bedroom Slide works on generator but not battery

I have a brand new Reflection 28BH. Using fully charged battery power: The bedroom slide opens 2-4 inches then stops, and can be closed. However, it cannot open all the way. Then, when using generator power, the bedroom slide opens fully.

I was told this should not happen and the battery should supply enough amperage to fully open and close the bedroom slide.

Does anyone else have this issue? Should I contact GD?

    Thank you in advance!

I also have a new 28bh and both my slides work on battery. I have 2 batteries, but I wouldn’t think that should matter. Have you checked to ensure your battery is fully charged and hasn’t gone bad? If it shows it’s still good, I’d be giving the dealer a call. Good luck.

Your battery probably has a short in it. Pull it out and put a load test on it or have your dealer do it. Your dealer should replace it.

ditto what Red said.... most likely a bad battery. A quick way to test that battery might be to put a meter on it and watch it when operating the slides. I'll bet it drops at least 2 volts almost immediately.

Thank you for confirming this is not right.
