    Amp Research Bed Step

Here's the bed step on my F350. Easy install. No modifications to the frame required. I also installed a side step. Some modification required. Don't recommend the side step as it mounts too far forward. I was hoping to use it to reach the 5th wheel hitch lever but can't reach it frClick image for larger version.

Agreed, but the softer and thinner aluminum on a MX4 bed cover dents much easier than the truck hood or roof will.

    Example.

With the tailgate down can you use the step to get onto the tail gate?

    Moppie14,

I have the Bak X4S on my 21 ram 3500 DRW LB, as well as the bed step (had to argue this with the salesman when I ordered. They said it could not be done until I found a truck on their lot that had one.).

I prefer the bedstep to my buddies 21 Ford tailgate step. Ford has too many moving parts for me.

The tonneau works great after 6 months of use now. First one I ordered was defective, and they sent me a new one asap after I sent them photos. It is best to roll from the bed if by yourself. A little hard to get it to roll straight from ground level.Click image for larger version.

Yes, I have the MX4 on my Duramax 8’ bed. I really like it. The only downside is that I can’t see the 5th wheel hitch to line up the pin. My “hack” has been to call my iPad using FaceTime and position the iPhone on the bed cover so I can see it on the iPad. I’ve had no problem folding it up and down from ground level as others have mentioned. I replaced a roll up cover with this and like it much better. Bottom line is that I would not only recommend it, I would also buy one again if needed.

Yes, works well to get up and down from the tail gate. You can see the step when backing off the tail gate so you don't have to feel for it. Left arm on the truck for support going up and down.

In the trucks that have a high mounted box camera, I wonder if the camera is set higher than the Bakflip would be when folded up against the back window?
