    Jack mod

Did the front jack mod for tailgate clearance. Removed jack head and no extra holes. Had to drill them. This is a Lippert jack.

Turn the tongue jack head 90* so you can open your tailgate while hitched up.

I wonder what makes that necessary in order for the TV tailgate to open? With all of our TV and TT's including our 297RSTS I have never had to do this. Is this a TT short A frame issue or bigger than normal TV tailgate issue driving this modification? I understand the power jack head is larger, but so is the one on our 297 RSRTS. On our B2500 Van I had an extended hitch draw bar to clear the spare on the door. Just curious, what is driving this.

It's a combination of thicker, fancier tailgates and larger head. The part of the jack head that has the controls sticks out just enough to prevent the tailgate from lowering all the way. Especially with the F150. After I did this mod I was able to lower my tailgate all the way.
