Is this in a trailer? How are you going to drop the voltage to 12 volts, or are you?

You would just use a converter between the battery and the house dc

Not sure how many watts of solar we can fit yet. The bonus is they didn't have the inverter I wanted so they gave me two 48v5000 watt for the price of the 48v10000 watt inverter. Basically got one for free.

With that kind of amp hours on board you could probably go a decade or two between recharges.

Actually, if he’s planning on running both of his roof airs it will only last a few hours before needing to recharge.
If he has at least say 2,000 watts of solar and it’s sunny, he can run both units longer but I doubt he’ll be able to get more than a day out of the whole setup, unless he only runs the air a few hours a day and/or runs a generator.
Air conditioning will quickly deplete a battery bank of any size.

If however he just follows the weather like we do, and never needs to run the air conditioning, then yea, he’ll never run out of electricity.

Resistance is Not Futile, It's Voltage Divided by Current.

Would love to see pictures, I have a Victron 12/3000 setup with right at 1000w on the roof. I am thinking about what to do next to upgrade from lead acid to Lithium and would love to see how they installed the bank.

    Thanks, Ben

I love the idea of using solar to provide power when you are off grid. The question, though, is how to get started? Who does work like this? What exactly do you need? All in laymen's terms.

FYI, I'm just a customer of the company--no other interest whatsoever. Lots and lots of info on their site. They have videos on YouTube, too.
