    slide out wiper seal

When extending your slides do your wiper seals flip out? If not what have you done to flip them?
Do you even worry about it?
If this has been discussed point me in the right direction. No luck searching.

I have one seal that never seems to flip all the way. I just use my fingers to finish the job. If I don't, mosquitos can get into the rig easier. You do want to make sure the seals on top flip. Otherwise, if you get a lot of rain water, you can develop a leak. If they are consistently not flipping, you might need to adjust the slide out.

I apply slide seal lubricant periodically and this seems to help with the wiper seals flipping as they should. It also has UV protection to help extend the life of the seals.

The seals are cleaned and maintained. Has anyone added sealant or other item to assist with flipping the seals?

Here was my solution. See post #8 . Has been working great for a year now. Top always flips. Still have to manually do sides sometimes but at least no climbing.

Edit: I ended up doing the top of all three slides... they always flip now.

Thanks Jim. I will give that a try for the top seals.
I also found where an individual made the item to flip the seals using plastic sheet rock corner piece. They cut it down so it only protruded 1/2". They use those on the sides.
Wondering if anyone has tried this method.

The little plastic strips I saw on SOB trailer were on the slide sides in the area below the windows were there is nothing else to assist the flip.
