Wide track front end for Ford F350 dually's

Did some research yesterday and found out that you can still order a Ford F350 dually with the F450 wide track front end. You have to order one with the tow max package. Doing this makes the truck even more stable because it pushes the front tires out a little bit. Not only making the truck more stable it makes it so you can turn on a dime. You can tell a truck that has the wide track front end as there will be a little bit of a flair on the front fenders.

Interesting. is that option only available on the dealers build sheet? -not seeing it on the configurator...

Was looking for front track dimensions in the brochure and could not find any. It does say that F-250/350 have 8 bolts at 170mm for SRW and 200mm for DRW. The F-450 has 10 bolts at 225mm. With that being said I know that my DRW turns much sharper than either of my SRW's. Not sure how they do that as all of my trucks have been 4X4's. But it is nice

After finding the 2018 super duty chassis cab brochure I found the track measurements. F-350 SRW is 68.3 inches, F-350 DRW is 69.1 inches, F-450/550 is 74.8 inches. That would be nice to order the 5 inch wider track. Wish I had known about that.

Where is this being offered? I have built a few online and never saw that option. I'm thinking cclb 4x4 dually w 6.2 and 4.30 gears. If I can get that I'm ordering this week.

Don't confuse the chassis cab with the pickup bed. They have different frames.

AFAIK you can't get the wide front track on the F350 DRW. That option went away with the current gen Super Duties. You may be able to order it with the chasis if you want to install your own towing flatbed.

Went back to where I had read about the wide track front end which was on thedieselstop.com. Got so excited that it could be done and didn't see the date from 2015. Sorry everybody.

Double check I ask a dealer earlier this year and was told that you could still order the heavy front end

There is an option for "heavy service front suspension package" (I have it)... but that is not the same as the widetrack front axle.

Correct. That is the snowplow prep/camper package. I have that on my truck. The front wide track on the F350 was available until the 2015 model year. It was removed on the 2016 model year Super Duties. It is NOT offered on the 2017+ Super Duties. The only way to get it with the current generation truck is go with the F450.
