I have Schwintek slide which has two motors, one at each end of the slide out and there is 2 rails mounted on each end for the gears to engage into. I think the in frame they went to is a better setup and and easier to manually slide the slide out in and out with a socket. The rack is underneath with the motor and gearbox. The Schwintec works good as long as you keep the seals, the gib, and bearing block lubed. I believe the schwintec is more maintenance from what I've seen.

I agree. One see’s very few complaints on the older style undermount rack slideout system as compared to the Schwintek. The undermount has been in use for years and years and has proven it’s reliability. The Schwintek otoh, works OK on small, light slideouts but has proven problematic on larger, heavier slideouts. Not to mention the overall complexity of the unit with circuit board controllers, long lengths of control cable runs, dual motors for each slide and aluminum “z” channels that can be easily damaged.

Well I just got off the phone with GD and they are sending the 4400lb axles, springs, and wheels and tires and a new weight sticker. I think Grand Design customer service is Awesome!!!

you have a 2019 2800RB that needed the axles replaced. I thought that issue was resolved before the 2019 model year. I am interested as I have a 2019 2800RB.

You need to check and see what your axle sticker says, 3500lb or 4400lb. Mine was 3500lb. If you have the 4400lb you should be fine.

there is a sticker on the axle.

You can find the stickers on the center of the axles. You'll have to crawl underneath to see them. Your weight sticker on the side of the trailer should also have that info.

I checked a picture of my sticker I had on-line. It shows trailer built in september and each axle rated at 4400 pounds. I thought perhaps there was a disconnect between what was installed vs. what the trailer was supposed to be rated at.
