    Morryde 3000 on 19 Imagine 2800

Has anyone installed the Morryde 3000 system on a 2019 Imagine 2800BH? I am having new 4400 lb axles and springs installed and want to install the Morryde system. I have completed the Morryde qualification except for the tire to wheelwell clearance. I have the 3500lb axles and the springs are flat so I won’t have accurate measurements.

The 4400# springs should here tomorrow and I'll be putting in the Morryde equalizers and wet bolts as well. Looks fairly straight forward to install and should get a little more lift with the Morryde. Since I have the lippert 3500# axles with the 3 inch tube GDRV said we should be okay, time will tell. If the clearance isn't enough I will put in spacer blocks to bring up the height and to level the trailer with whatever thickness they need to be. I'm going for 4 inches of clearance. The units I looked at with the 4400# axles and springs sit up at least that much but if they don't go less than 3 and a half inches of clearance after loading up should be good enough.

Thanks for the reply. I too have looked at spacers if there isn't enough clearance.

I put the 3000 system on our 19 2400bh last fall. We did one short trip and then it was time for storage. Looking forward to really trying it out this spring. Our springs are not flat, and we gained about 1/2-3/4" of clearance.

I found the same additional height gain when installing my CRE-3000 on my 2600RB. I started with new 3500 lb springs and also added one inch spacer blocks. Once this additional height is achieved with the MORryde equalizers you may not need the blocks and can monitor for contact to determine if they are needed. I moved up to the next size up in tire to get an E rating where I lost 1/2 inch in height so I installed the blocks along with the CRE-3000 units. In the spring I will also be installing the MORryde X factor bracket to stiffen up the center hanger.

I didn't do brakes, just the 3000 and the wet bolt kit. The wet bolt kit is about $100 and the CRE 3000 kit is about $150.

I grew up on a farm and built and raced cars for years, so any work like this happens on the pad in front of my shop.

If you go this route, put solid valve stems in the wheels and balance the tires too, since they will be off of the trailer.
