Help!! Half of 31MB has no 12 volt power.

    Hello.
My 31MB is parked at my driveway and just realized I have no lights in the front half of the trailer. I hooked with shore power and I have power in all the receptacles front and back, but no lights and fan in the bathroom. It seemed 12V is dead in the front half of the trailer. Also the thermostat in the master bedroom is dead as well.
I checked all the fuses and the all seemed ok.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance.

    Edward.

If all the 12 volt fuses are OK and you have 12 VDC lighting in the back of the rig, the only other thing I can think of would be a problem with a wire or connector going to that part of the trailer. (The fact that you have 120 VAC in those areas is not connected with your 12 VDC issue.) What year is your RV (under warranty?)?

    Thank you for reply.
It’s 2020 and still under warranty and I wouldn’t like to drive 2 hours to the dealership but if I can’t figure it out then I would have to.

If you are that far away from a dealer, consider this: Grand Design is good about authorizing a mobile tech for warranty work when you're not near a dealer. We've taken advantage of that several times. Give GD Customer Service a call tomorrow and explain the situation.

Before you make that service call, check to make sure that you have 12v in the rear of the coach and that the battery switch in your hold is actually on.

Is your outage limited to the bath lights and fan (plus the T-stat)? or does the outage effect more circuits?

It is conceivable that the bath fan, light, and T-stat are all on the same circuit and that you have lost that circuit. Check your blue fuses in your power distribution panel.

I can’t remember. Do those also have a gfi outlet in the bathroom? Could that have tripped?

NEver mind. I see the issue is only 12 volt. My bad.
