Coat Rack suggestions for the 297rsts

Has anyone installed a coat rack in the 297rsts? We were thinking about installing one on the exterior wall adjacent to the bathroom door between the bedroom and main door. Please post pictures of your installation if you have

We put these up in that location. We use them for dog leashes, keys, jackets, and sometimes hats. I think we picked them up at Walmart.

That looks great Steve7. My wife and I were debating about where to put coats or hooks for coats. Looks like a good place to put it. Looks like a first mod once I get the trailer home.

I don't have the 297 but did put hooks up but not in the hallway. I didn't like the thought of something sticking out away from the wall and was afraid of them getting caught on as passing by. With my luck I'd fall into them and tear them out of the wall !

I used the 3M hooks (yes they can potentially pull the wall paper away but haven't in 4+ yrs) They could always be screwed into the wall if wanted. One wide hook is between the door and slideout, that holds the dog leashes. Then I put 3 behind the bedroom door and that works well for light to mid weight jackets that don't have alot of bulk and my robe. I also use a door stop to keep the BR door open. If we need to store any heavier jackets then its time to go further south and stuff them under the bed.

I'm with @WhittleBurner. The hall to the bedroom is usually narrow enough that anything sticking out much could be a risk to persons or the wall.

We too have used a few of the 3M hooks but stuck them to wood trim and cabinets, not to the wallpaper. We've also put something like the following on the back of the bedroom door:

We found lots of choices in Canadian stores. We chose one that was strong and had a low profile so that even loaded with coats and/or towels it would not interfere with opening the door all the way.

Yea those hooks are about eye-level for me, but it would work fine for the short folks out there.
However I have seen hooks that are spring-loaded so they swing up and are hidden until you need them, something like that might work.

Just FYI, the hooks generally have several light jackets, hats and dog leashes and harnesses on them, so it would be difficult to walk into them without seeing them first. Also, it is not a problem regarding having room to walk past them without hitting them.
