That is the plan, Brian. Painted exterior too. Now let's talk about Generators. Who has one on board and likes/love it? How come? How loud is it in the bedroom? Do you like it better than an external?

This is exciting news. Wouldn't it be great if we could take parts of all campers and meld them into the one we want? To bad manufactures cant do that.

Chris I know this thread is a couple weeks old but thought I'd give some input on the onboard generator. I had the dealer install the Onan 5500w LP generator in my '19 375RES before delivery. It did not come from the factory with the gen prep pkg but they ordered all the parts of that from Grand Design and sourced the generator from a local Onan dealer. It is not loud at all in the front bedroom, more like white noise when sleeping. I used and still have Honda 3000is in My Reflection and the Onan is every bit as quiet. The LP ones are pretty maintenance free since no gasoline to go bad. It is an expensive upgrade but when you need it it's awesome to have!

Chris
I know also that this thread is a few weeks old, but Im curious if you've picked up your 5er yet, and your thoughts regarding towing with a SRW.
Im looking to upgrade to a GD 5er. Im really liking the 377MBS, which has essentially the same weights as your 372WB (same GVWR; less UVW with the 377MBS) and less unloaded pin weight (by 50lbs) on the 377. I came to the conclusion that the 377MBS is too much weight wise for my Ram 3500 SRW, 4x4.
So, Im not trying to say anything negative, but wanted to see how your assessment of the situation was, and if you have real weights you can share that might help me in my decision process.
Thanks

Hi Mike,
We've settled on a 385GK, and have submitted the order for that. I have been towing with a 369RL for over 35K miles, and have weighed it multiple times. My weight has put me at the high end of the axle rating, but not over my GCWR of the truck. In order to mitigate any potential issues - btw, none have surfaced in 35K towing - I have switched my tires to 4000lb ratings by going to LT295/70R18 E 129/126Q size. That gives me a 1K cushion for those big bumps in Denver. It also ate a bit of my mileage as well. lol. When I first bought my 369RL, the tongue weight was 2460, if I remember correctly. It quickly climbed!
I have air bags on my truck, I have lightened my hitch by going from a B&W Slider to a B&W companion puck, and try to be mindful of loading. I may swap over to the Andersen hitch and lose another 150 lbs out of the bed. I am not carrying as many kids or dogs anymore either.
In hindsight, I should have bought a dually for the weight capacity on the axle, but after 112K on the truck, and 35K on my 369, I can tell you that an SRW works.
Thanks,
ChrisChris Tretta

LOL. It was a hard pull from the 372WB, but I think it will be a good fit for us. Now comes the waiting. Tom Petty said it best.
Thankfully they have one at our dealership that is almost how ours will be so that we can go play and measure in that one.
