    Tri-Fold sofa bed in a 2020 Reflection 315RLTS trailer....level surfacer??

    Good Morning:
We are waiting on our new 2020-315 trailer and have been thinking of the tri-fold sofa/bed and the apparent unevenness of the bed setup. When we did our one and only tour of the model and had the sofa setup as a bed, it appeared as if the bed surface tilted toward the rear of the trailer. As such, seems the surface needs leveling and understand this is a common issue with the tri-fold unit...perhaps not??

If this is a common issue, then wonder what modifications have been made by folks in this forum to level out the surface. Presume tapering a piece of foam a good first start, however, perhaps some better ideas/suggestions. Thanks,

We found the best solution to be to use the head of the bed at the back side instead.

Thanks, certainly crossed our mind. Guess we'll have to try that approach first, see how it feels and may work great. Thanks again.

@BiggieJ - see this thread with pictures and narrative in my posts #8 and #9 along with other posts. I suspect your frame is much like many of ours from years past dealing with this issue with just the soft materials being different in recent years builds. This issue has been around since GDRVs were first built in 2012. Truly ridiculous that LCI has not addressed this. Maybe they (LCI) purposely has left it this way just to aggravate us........or maybe it is their way to prevent O/N guests from staying too long !

Thanks, had not thought of that. Thinking you may be right in that GD thought it best overnight guests not stay too long. Take care.

We had long time friends stay one night and Wayne said it was the worst bed that he had had ever slept on particularly for the slope to the rear section. I fixed that a few weeks later as noted in my posts in that thread I shared. Family members have stayed at times over the years and all good now. We actually put the original queen bed from our BR on top of the couch as well for more padding when our daughter and SIL stay and they really like that !

A number of forum folks have corrected the bed un-level condition as I shared or done something similar. Pretty easy to do and not much time to do so either.

Thought I would mention, I could not find any pictures with the threads you mentioned above. Might you still have them available for viewing?
