@Phanson404 I suspect I might be getting that for Father’s Day.
@Gronk1 “At least when I looked around, no one was out to see it..”. I did the exact same thing! I was more concerned that someone saw me than with the blood running down my face.

You are not even close to being alone on that one. I have a long crease along the top of my head from a similar attack My wife heard my head hit from 100 feet away.

Yup, I keep a pool noodle wrapped around our gooseneck for just that reason. But it took a nice knot on the top of my head to put enough sense in me to do so... :-)

I split the noodle lengthwise on one side so that it overlaps the gooseneck snugly. Keep it in place with some gorilla tape where the ends meet.

Glad that Mark is OK, too.

I've hit it a few times and since then hang pool noodles off of it. What I have the biggest problem with are the screws that hold up the panelling on the bottom side. I have sliced my head open on the screws walking underneath at several times.

I will dispute that rule, if you are RVing in a TT look down as your shins/knees will suffer if you contact the hitch!

I noticed that I mostly hit my head when wearing a hat. It blocks enough of that view to become a problem.
