Look at the door sticker of any you look at

The more fancy options these new trucks come with kill payload and you need a lot

For a quick introduction to towing capacities, payload, etc., take a few minutes and watch this video:

There's also good information in this thread in the reference library on this forum:

If you don't want to exceed the payload rating of the truck, yes, you need a dually for a Momentum 349M. If you don't care about exceeding the payload rating, tow it with whatever you want. Lots of people tow Momentums with 3/4 ton trucks.

The only way you'll get a 4,480lb payload rating out of a SRW 1 ton truck is if it's a gas engine, 2 door, 2WD totally stripped model - which doesn't really exist. Make sure you look at the actual payload sticker on the door of any truck you look at. That is the only way you'll know the true payload rating. Do NOT look at any published numbers!

I’ll chime in. You bought a toy hauler. They are made for weight and have significantly more cargo capacity than other 5ers (5th wheels). You absolutely cannot tow that with any 3/4 ton truck and be within your limits. You need the stability and the payload of a 1 ton dually. You can pick gas or diesel on your own time. If you can actually find a truck I would pick one that best suits you. The new gas engines like the 6.4 and the Godzilla (Ford 7.3) can handle an rv of that size but you will pull more effortlessly with a diesel truck. If you aren’t going far and don’t live in the mountains, you can consider a gas truck. Keep in mind that these trucks are scarce right now and you are going to pay a lot of money for one since they are not easy to find. Good luck on your search though.

my manual book says max trailer weight is 15,400, GCWR = 22,000 lb
my new GD momentum tow hauler UVW is 13600. ( i guess this is actual weight? i dont know)
this is so confusing to me. I hate to admit my ignorance but i dont get it and i dont know if my 2500 can tow this 5th wheel
Look at the truck I tow with and I would not attempt to pull your trailer.
A DRW or even consider a Ford f450 for safety and comfort while towing.
    Just another opinion:

    Towing and capacities HELP

Am I thinking correctly? Secondly, the two floor plans that I like, the Transcend 240ML and the Imagine 2610ML, almost identical with the exception of second entry door and some variations in tank capacity, could anyone help me make this distinction, I’m assuming giving the price differential the material quality of build in the Imagine is better. Any advice would be appreciated.
Doubtful you will find a 2610 but first thing you need to do is check your capacity
There is a sticker on the door that says the weight of cargo should not exceed _____
These trailers will basically have 900 lbs of TW

Should start your own thread though
