Freshwater Tank Drain Valve dripping

Just put water in the freshwater tank in our new 2021 22RBE and noticed a steady drip coming from the freshwater tank drain valve. It is about 1 or 2 drops per second and appears to be coming out of the drain itself, not running down the outside of the valve. I opened and shut the valve a couple of times with no change. Is there a way to tighten this up, or is a new gasket or valve needed? Still a few weeks away from our first trip so no huge rush, but don't want to take it to the dealer for this.
Any suggestions?

I'd say if it is indeed dripping from the inside of the pipe that the valve is somehow leaking or not sealing right.

I'd drain the whole tank and then inspect the seal(s) where the blade is for any foreign matter. Maybe spray a hose to see if it clears out anything. Good time to insure it is also closing all the way.

One other thing that comes to mind is that the tank can be overfull and the overflow not working causing excess pressure on the tank. But that seems a bit far fetched.

I replied to your post in the other forum. I had a similar issue and it turned out to be PVC shavings caught in the blade valve. Opened it up and wiped the inside of the seal to get all the shavings out.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try draining the tank and looking at the valve later this week or over the weekend.

We had the same problems with our previous trailer. The shavings must be a fairly common problem.
It is a problem which arises in new trailers with the shavings a result of the mfg. process.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think it was much ado about nothing. I did what some of you recommended, opened the drain and wiped around the valve, closed it, and no leaks. I wish I had put something under the drain to see what came out. Shavings getting in the valve makes
