    Screws popping

At about 4 am heard a funny sound like something falling
Assumed it was one of the kids dropping something from the bunks
    Noticed this later on
5 screws popped their heads and were scattered around the bathroom
One landed in the steel sink is likely what woke me
    Wonder what caused this

I can’t remember if it was before or after I turned the heat on

It was 62 in the coach so I turned on the heat but of course being the middle of the night I can’t remember

All I can remember is being awakened by the sound

Rig hasn’t moved that I know but we did get a full day of rain

The root cause is GD's screw installation method. I'd be willing to bet they dont use any type of torque limiting device. I've found a few broken heads on my Reflection, my Momentum had more than I cared to count. As far as what finally caused yours to fail all at the same time, I would also guess some type of pressure or temperature change.

    Must have been

Unfortunately I have nothing here to remove the broken screws
It should hold though I think on the road
    Just that one corner

That's what I was thinking too. Tight screws and temperature changes.

I'm suprised that you of all people (you always preach fix it yourself) do not travel with a small screw extractor set stashed in the RV.. very handy tool set to have that takes little space when in an RV . Especially one that has screws popping off

Can’t bring everything. Didn’t envision this. Would you?

Thanks for calling me out though.

2018 GMC Sierra 4x4 crew[/QUOTE @WhittleBurner @NB Canada Funny y'all mention this. Due to reading another, older post, about screw heads popping off, my extractor set is in my RV toolbag. Plus wood glue and toothpicks for the screw that have popped out and won't tighten down. I really need to lighten my toolbag though. In the 8 toys we've taken, I've used maybe a quarter of the "I think I'm gonna need this" tools. I did tell my wife that if I need something, I'll probably just buy a "throw-away" tool from Harbor Freight.

EDIT: So far I've had about a dozen screw that have backed out. I really need to get in there and do the wood glue and toothpick fix...
