I've read some concerns that the part of the trailer frame where the Sumo Springs contact may not be sufficiently reinforced for the impacts, since it was not specifically designed for that. That kind of seems a reasonable concern. The frame is probably strong enough, depending, of course, on the force of the impacts.

I have them and love them. Really settled down the trailer and improved towing. No issues with the coroplast and I made sure to center them up on the frame. I have a write up somewhere. Not sure if it is here or elsewhere.

@MN-Mark
The sumo install was extremely easy. The most difficult/time consuming part was setting up the jack by each wheel to lift off the frame. Once you know the space between the frame and spring plate, setting up the sumo's takes just a few minutes. Then lift from the frame to let the suspension drop a half inch or so. Slide the sumos in, tighten the base nut/bolt, centre the sumo and hand tighten as much as you can. Start to finish for me was about two hours. I did not have to move any propane lines on my 2021 303RLS...sooo....you will not either.2018 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins SRW w/Aisin

I see these posts mentioning that the frame isn’t reinforced where the sumosprings lands, but I don’t think the frame is reinforced where the factory springs mount either. So we are talking about 2600lbs impacting the frame at three points instead of two points. I suspect if there was any issue at all with this the Dexters and Lipperts would be crying foul and denying warranties.
I’ve been very impressed with the sumosprings on my 2500RL, they make up for the factory decision to spec a spring at 93% of its capacity. We’ve had two sets of springs go flat.

I had them on my Solitude 3550bh…since traded, but I took them off to use them on the next trailer, but they were compressed beyond rebound. Contacted sumospring & they sent me a new pair.
Now, I have a brand new pair I can’t use because they’d be too stiff for my new trailer.
