Print off that picture and he'll be fine. It's just a reinforcement for the hangers to help prevent them from bending.

I think you'll be happy with that EquaFlex gone, they are just pretty lame. IMO of course.

One more question for you regarding these. Did you install them between the hanger supporting your equalizer as well? I have only seen pictures of them welded between the leaf spring hangers. I ordered four of them through Lippert and found a mobile welder to come out and weld them on for me so I'm making progress : )

    Short answer - yes.

Longer answer, I didn't install them - they were on my 349M new from Grand Design. I took this picture a couple weeks after I bought it.

Hey, I wanted to let you know that I spoke with Lou from Alcan Springs and he has some springs already on hand. They are the 3,500 # ones that I wanted. They are pricey but I think it’s worth it. Tomorrow I have to call him back with a measurement and finalize the order. Thanks for sharing that lead with us.

I paid to have them installed locally mostly because it was too cold outside to do it myself. The spring leafs themselves are a little wider than stock (so they need the different plates) and are necked down for the OEM hangers. The hangers needed some corner relief ground to clear the wider long leaf.

I've only towed with them from the installation shop, to my house, then to storage. Maybe a total of 15 miles. It might just be my imagination, but the 349M seems to pull easier and the braking certainly seems more responsive (maybe less spring wind up?). I'll post more when I get it on the road.
I was just rereading your post, and have a question. What do you mean by, "The hangers needed some corner relief ground to clear the wider long leaf"? Lew told me the springs would fit in my existing leaf spring hangers.
