Electrical in Canada / Nova Scotia

Is electrical gonna be a problem if I take the 310GK-R to Canada/Nova Scotia?

    Can you elaborate?

What issue are you concerned about

We have power here in Canada

It's the same power type as in the US. 60hz 15/20/30/50 amp depending on the site you select.

BTW, we absolutely loved NS and plan to go back soon. I hope you have Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail (busy but worth it) Lunenburg, Yarmouth, Peggy's Cove... in your itinerary.

I've been to Canada a few times including the Maritime Provinces. It's worth the trip and whatever you come up against.

Depending on where you go and the campgrounds you stay at you find only 30amp power. Probably no more worse than picking sketchy parks in the US. And I have found through experience that some of those can have low voltage as often as not - again, same as in the US.

I'm not saying all of Canada is that way, but some of areas of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland can be a challenge. Especially if the campground is full.

Don't let that deter you. But maybe consider getting a Hughs Autoformer for those times when you need to boost that low voltage a bit.

Thanks. Would a 30amp adapter plug added to my existing 50amp plug head do the trick, or is there more to it than that? Thanks in advance!

No worries! I’m bringing a calculator so I can convert. Also, I have metric sockets, wrenches, Allen heads, screwdrivers, and even (after significant searching) a metric hammer. Should be good.
