    2nd AC Model Recommendation?

Going to install a second AC that's a stand alone unit; dual zones - separate thermostat.

    Any model and/or size recommendations?

Long answer short - the quietest 13,000 BTU I could find.

All this assumes you are wired and framed in the bedroom and it is just a straight down dump AC with no ducting.

It's ducted and ready to go. Not sure if I had to use the same branded unit that's already installed on the rig?

In that case, I am not sure. I'd probably just use what GD is now using. On my rig I have a Coleman (Airxcel) model 48000 series 13k. They seem to run around $800 on Amazon (I happened to be checking them the other day because I thought I might need to replace one).

It looks like we have the same model/year camper and I'm looking to install the second ac unit. Did you do it yourself and did the wiring match? I want to install the same Coleman unit I have to the duct work just in case one goes out at some point. Where did you purchase the new unit?

Everything was there and the wiring was a match. PPL is the company I bought the AC from at the time.

How did you know where in the wall to find the wires for the thermostat?

Just reach into the wall behind the light switch, it's bundled together in there. Put the thermostat right above or near the switch.
