I have a 2016 ford f-150 lariat 5.4 and a 2020 imagine 2600 RB The truck weights 5440 empty and 5880 with trailer connected the total weight of truck and trailer 11980 If you do the math the tongue weight is only 440 pounds which is not enough I am not new to trailers since this is my eight one All of the other trailer the hitch weight was more than 10 % with trailer connected The weight dist hitch was connected when I weighted the truck and trailer

I would reweigh with the trailer hitched but no WD, I think that would be a start in the right direction. Are you storing a bunch of stuff in the bathroom?

I think wishing without the WD is a good idea.

    1. Weigh the truck without the trailer.
    2. Weigh combination, but do NOT set the WD! Then do the math.
The total weight gain of the truck will then be the tongue weight.
(And, for even more information, weigh the combination again, this time with the WD bars set, so you can see how much gets restored to the steer wheels).

Setting the WD transfers weight both to the steer wheels of the truck AND the main wheels of the trailer. So your weight-gain-of-the-truck will not show the true tongue weight.
Or get a TW scale off of Amazon (<$100). Or do a search on how to weigh the tongue using a bathroom scale.....

What @sande005 said above ^^^^. I do not know if you have a CAT scale near you, but they are $12~$13 for the first weigh and $2 for each additional weigh within 24 hours. You can get a lot of good, accurate, quantified information from a few weights and it does not cost very much.
