It sounds like you have had good luck with Carlisles, but I haven't. Had them on my 29' Tahoe 5th and didn't have many miles on them but one blew and 2 were separating, so replaced them. On the last two rigs it's always been Goodyear Marathons or Endurances.

I just repaired the same type of damage on my RV.
The help I got from the GD technical forum.

I have a 2019 GD 2670MK with Westlake ST225/17 R15 Load E, Speed L rating tires. I'm the original owner and estimate I have 2500 to 3000 miles on the tires. A few weeks ago, the right rear tire thread came about 1/3 off while traveling. I had just left home (less than 5 minutes) and was doing about 50 mph. I immediate heard it and was able to pull over in about 15 seconds - resulted in damage to the wheel well and created a hole in the floor (through the wood and vinyl) but did not damage the floor of the slide. I had checked and set tire pressures to 80 psi before leaving. I have a TST tire pressure / temp system but it did not go off. The tire was still fully inflated even though 1/3 of the tread was gone. I immediately replaced all 4 tires with Goodyear Endurance. Am taking it to the dealer to get an estimate to repair. Attachment 43557Attachment 43558Attachment 43559Attachment 43560Attachment 43561

Westlake tires=China bombs...had 2 tires blow this year on one trip. Lots of body damage. It was worth us going through insurance for repairs. This happened in July but cannot get our RV in for repair until December 1. We are replacing all the tires with Goodyear Endurance.

"E" rated Westlakes do not have the best reputation, but the "G" rated do seem to be better. I take it you had the "E" rated since you replaced them with the Endurance tires.

Yes - I had E rated Westlake tires - glad I made the change. They ride better and the tire temperatures are lower as is the increase in tire temperatures when pulling.
