    Nautilus panel fresh water leak

    Hi everyone,

When hooking up my fresh water hose to the Nautilus system, there's a leak and a lot of water ends up on the ground. Has anyone faced this issue? If so, what can I do to fix it?

Really hard to tell from video/gif but that looks like it's coming from between the hose and fitting, not from the fitting. Are you sure hose is threaded and sealed? Try a different hose if able to.

I think so, I have tightened the connection as much as I could. I tried the same hose on the auxiliary tank fitting and it does not leak there. Like you suggested, I also tried with a different hose and water was still leaking.

The fitting could be loose. It's a pain to do but check the connection between the connection in back of panel and the fitting in front. If the fitting itself is cracked or damaged, it's all plastic so no other choice but to replace it. Mine has come loose, and is getting loose again, so I'll eventually replace with a metal fitting .

    I have to agree.

    Definitely try a different hose.

    Good Luck!

Thank you! I will try that. Where did you get the replacement part from?

I haven't yet. Probably will end up with brass SharkBite fittings or something similar when I get to it.

Also check the rubber seal and screen inside the threads. Could be bunched up or something preventing the hose from seating properly.

I wash also going to say check the rubber washer first. It might be as simple as that. Try using a different washer to see. Maybe add a second one.

Mine will leak with some hoses and not others. Stamped threaded ends are problematic. Ones that appear more 'machined' work best for me. And I don't let the weight of the hose 'hang' on the connector.
Personally, I think it is a crappy connector and will likely change it for a better piece at some point.
