It can force some grease out the rubber cap when the wheel heats up but I haven't experienced that too much either. I would say a little too much is better than a little too little. Really interested to see what I find...
I do the same with my boats, lots of grease. I put bearing buddy's on my tandem trailer and was thinking I might do the same on the 22RBE.

I removed one hub and inspected the bearings and they had grease, but I would call it a minimal but adequate amount.

Well, it might be good if your trailer spends time in the water. Otherwise, as long as the bearings are greased properly, they will last a long time before needing attention.

No, you do not want Bearing Buddys on your RV.

2 totally different scenarios. Boats use them to force extra grease into the cavity to repel water.

RV's only have to have grease at the bearings, not burying the whole assembly in it.

Agree completely. Yours is a simple way of explaining how it works..
This is one of the most common misconceptions on the RV forums. Usually I give a detailed answer as to exactly how they work, but that is a waste of time as there are always some that don't get it anyway.

Bearing Buddy's are not just for boats. They make products for all trailers including RV's.

I don't see anything on their website that is beneficial to a towable RV. They're all spring driven grease pushers.

You already have easy lube axles, with grease fittings. Follow the suggested directions, and there are no benefits to adding Bearing Buddys.

But, if it makes you feel better, go ahead.

Bearing buddys keep the grease under constant pressure, that is just looking for a place to exit. The seals are the most likely exit. Then you will have grease on your brakes, and a big mess to fix.

People will sell you all kinds of things you shouldn't use.....Slide supports come to mind right away. It is up to the individual to be skeptical of those wanting your money.
