The 6.0 was not code named Scorpion.

That was the 6.7, intriduced in 2011 model year. Which is still in production in the 2023 models, giving it the longest production life of any Diesel option. (Pre 94 7.3/6.9 IDI Diesels share very few components with the 94-98 and 99-03 7.3s)

I ordered 3 Super Duty trucks last year. The first 2 orders with X-Plan recently arrive. The F-350 Platinum SRW was delivered 12/20. I traded my 2020 F-350 Lariat SRW in on it. The dealer gave me a trade in value equal to what I paid for it 2 years ago.

Then the F-450 King Ranch I ordered March of 2022 arrived on January 12th. It was ordered with X-Plan Price Protection and final price was $9,000 below delivered MSRP. Then I traded the 3 week old F-350 Platinum in on the 450 and the dealer gave me $4,500 more than I paid for the 3 week old F-350.

The 3rd truck was ordered January 2022 from Chapman in PA at 4% below final invoice. Ford ran out of commodities and didn’t build it so it was reordered as a 2023 F-450 King Ranch, Chapman is honoring the original 4% below final invoice deal. Then Ford recently offered me a $5,000 private discount certificate towards the 2023 order to replace the unfilled 2022 order.
All I can say is WOW, I wish I could be that lucky.

Surprised there hasn't been much activity on this topic since production began. Won the production lottery this week and received an email my F450 is scheduled to be produced week of 3/6. Now hoping they don't push it back and start actually shipping these trucks, Ford still hasn't released any for sale yet. Also hope I can get close enough to what I paid for my Silverado when the truck actually arrives. [emoji1696]

Wish u luck, but after reading the Blue Oval forum, “23 Superduty” thread this morning, Ford is still a mess. Evidently they haven’t shipped any ‘23s yet, and Job 2 may get delayed. Forum talk, so take it for what it’s worth…

When I bought the Chevy, I cancelled my F450 order. Honestly, I think I should have left it on order. By the time they build a Platinum again, I might be ready to trade!

Thanks. Apparently Ford is waiting on EPA certification for the diesels and some issue with the 7.3 before they issue the OK to buy. I know it's a waiting game, I'll see how it all turns out in the end.

I read on a Ford forum (so take it FWIW) that production is halted on the Godzilla while they investigate the lifter roller failure. Could be internet conjecture so don't take that to the bank.

We have a 2023 F450 King Ranch on order. We got our 2022 F450 King Ranch about a month ago. We are doing our first camping trip with it in 10 days.

I just finished installing the Ford branded Berliner and installing our Andersen hitch last week.

Can’t wait to try towing the Reflecting 337 with it.
