i had a unit with a Gerard tankless a few years ago, i'd say it would be ok in a park, but not for camping. In mine, the distance from WH to the bath was a good 15' , so it took a good bit of water before hot finally made it to the faucet, so a lot of wasted water filling a tank. On mine , the sail switch on the igniter started to fail, so it was a gamble on whether it would work at all.

As i recall, mine was a first gen, so maybe the new are better, idk.
