Furrion 12 volt fridge door opens when traveling

Does anybody have a solution to the freezer door opening while traveling when food hits it. I had a bag of ice on the floor last trip I took as the latch doesn't hold enough. Putting this out there for solutions.

I saw these at the Tampa RV show; they were on a lot of the display rigs. I thought I might give it a try for our freezer door on our residential frig.

The product @traveldawg linked to is very similar to what came installed on my 2022 260RD. GD must have figured out something needed to secure those doors.

If you have the opportunity would you post a picture of that set up so I can see how it's fashioned. Appreciate the replies.

@tabnab, this is the best photo I could get. There are hooks screwed into the top of the refrigerator (one hook for each door) and then a permanent holder screwed into the ceiling above the fridge. The bungie cord wraps around both hooks to keep the doors closed. The tab hanging out front makes it easy to pull the bungie on and off the hooks.

Thanks for the picture. Are those hooks screwed into the doors?

Yes. I guess they must be pretty short. [emoji16]

I ordered the Bungie setup with the 2 hooks from GD. Mine had a strap with 2 snaps that didn't hold at all!

Thanks Basshunter. Do you have any info about the part or did you call in to GD parts and ask for the bungee kit and they knew what you were talking about. Funny but not so funny pic. We had to fish our package of bagels and bacon out from under the slide. Not fun!
