Super good suggestion! I 100% understand the "unnerving" part of what you're saying, especially when it comes to things linked to commodities.

    I thank you, sir!

Was planning on an extended trip up to New England/Maine this year, but not now. Will focus on staying around the local area (less than 300 miles away) this year. Was so looking forward to those lobsta rolls...

While we weren't particularly happy about the big (4 month) trip we've planned for this summer, I'm REALLY not happy to see report of gas siphoning. Not "regular" siphoning, but where they are puncturing gas tanks and draining them. It's bad enough to have your gas stolen, but the repair bill for a damaged gas tank is daunting.

We are going from Albuquerque to Alaska. Figure 12,000 to 15,000 miles and probably at least $6K+. Still going.

Im getting our Reflection ready for a trip next week. We have a 500 mile round trip and it will cost us about $225 for the diesel for that trip.

Next to it is our Nissan Leaf EV plugged into the charge in the shed after traveling the 125 miles to our cabin.

I’m getting 200 MPG equivalent with gas at $4.99 on our Nissan Leaf EV. For comparison I drove 125 miles to our cabin and cost to replenish the electric used is $2.86. A little more than what 1/2 gallon of gas would cost.

It's already $1 higher than budget but with talks of $200 barrel for oil...... it's like 'Vert der Ferk?!?!?
Same number of trips planned, but staying closer to home. Diesel is outrageous, and could get worse.

Went to fill up the truck with Diesel and get some gas for the boat. I filled up the jugs for the boat and my wife filled the truck. She said its full on only 100.00, but it was NOT full, the pump just shut off at $ 100.00. Well the boat is now full and the truck is 3/4 full, the diesel was $ 5.29 a gallon in Central Florida. We are still planning on hitting 2 Grand Design State rallies and then the BIG TRIP will be the Northwest tour go the West coast. Retired and ready to go and just bite the bullet and go have fun..

I'm guessing that most on this forum are older. Think of how many times in your past fuel prices have been a topic. It's a pendulum. Price swings go both directions and affect everyone pretty much the same (unless you were able to cash in somehow). (Political content removed) . I guess to more directly answer your question, I've almost always had an RV. Fuel prices hurt. My upcoming trip is going to cost double now just in transportation costs. I'm just going to grin and bear it. I'm to old to wait, to sell and pick another form of relaxation. Or to stop living. I'm going to stay calm, and the market will correct. Hope I haven't broken any rules here.
