I don’t know where it’s manufactured.
It’s very useful to monitor battery voltage and look at a graph of voltage over time while the app is active. The display showing % of charge and charging is useless but being able to remotely monitor battery voltage is more than worth the $29.95 price.
Until I installed it I didn’t realize that the way the disc brake installers wired my system the rv battery was slowly dropping voltage while being towed and refrigerator was on. After a 6 hour trip my RV battery voltage dropped to below 11 volts which could have caused dangerous braking issue.
The Brakerite install manual had you wire the Brakerite actuator’s very low charge current to charge the battery rather than using the truck’s alternator to supply battery charge. I rewired it using performance trailer braking modified wire diagram and now it’s charging as expected. https://performancetrailerbraking.co...ng-diagram.pdf
Without the monitor I would never have known.Last edited by Jerryr; 05-25-2022 at 08:17 AM.

Should I get the exact same battery or same type? In other words It is an Interstate SRM-24. I see other brands that are SRM-24. Or is it a naming thing that doesn't really tell you much?

That may apply to series configuration. Not so certain about parallel.

BAH! I know better than to try to think when I'm tired!
With parallel batteries, it INCREASES the total available Ah. So if you have a 65 Ah battery and a 80Ah battery in parallel, you have effectively 145 Ah available.
Wow. Sorry for the bad information previously!
EDIT: corrected incorrect information.Last edited by MoonShadow_1911; 05-25-2022 at 01:21 PM.
