A-frame ladder gives 11 foot reach and folds to a 4x4 mounts under trailer-see photos

ok i needed a ladder that can get up to the awnings for emergency fold or whatever.

Gp-Logistics makes a 7' foot ladder that lets me reach 11 feet and folds to a mere 4 x 4 post. (model SLD-d7 double sides 7 feet )

The mounting hardware I used to mount it under the trailer is available from amazon by a company called "Buyers products #cc-600 for about $67 "

And the pipe ( which i painted black) is from Lowes 6" pvc at about $78

i mounted behind the rear wheels and both the ladder and pipe total only 51 lbs (ladder about 26lbs)

    check out the photos--problem solved

I bought the same one last year. I used a 5" x 5" vinyl fence post and end caps....

No, they measure 4 by 4 1/2 when folded up. The 5 inch vinyl post is the way to go.
My ladder came from CW and is used every trip for blowing slide roofs before heading home.

nice set up ..however i mounted mine behind the rear wheels so if it drops it will not get tangled in the wheels or axle. Yours are in front which might be a disaster if your straps rust out. Also order the top shelf as it adds stability to the opened ladder

I don't think there is much chance of that. Right where you have your yellow arrow, that fence post and ladder inside are sitting on a piece of 1/4" thick...1 1/2" by 1 1/2" aluminum angle. The aluminum angle is bolted to the front landing gear hydraulic cylinder ears....which of course is bolted to the frame of the RV. The strapping is only holding the fence post down...on top of the aluminum angle. I'll post up another pic that shows it a little better....The nice thing about mounting them the way I did, I didn't have to drill any holes in the trailer frame or the landing gear housing.....there are already extra holes there...

Here is an even better pic.....this is the other fence post tube....the one that holds the stinky slinky. You can see the bolts that hold the aluminum angle to the middle stabilizers....

I have the GP Logistics in a 6' version that fits in my bumper. I carry it for emergencies, and boy, it got a lot of use on our 10,000 mile trip last summer. I'm very satisfied with it.

I've kept it simple. My ladder's 7' long. My pass-through storage is 8' wide. Ladder rides on the floor in front taking up 4" X 4 1/2". Is readily accessible and used often, such as today to wash rig in a park in McMinnville, OR.

Link to your ladder? I would like to check it out. I need something more than my 3ft step stool.

    Thanks
