    @Grandesigner

My payload is listed as 3746 lbs with a GVWR of 11,100 lbs (I have the 3.73 rear end).

600 lbs difference seems like a lot between a Super Cab and a Crew Cab. I do have the sunroof and factory bed liner and 5th wheel prep, so that lowers my payload some.

Still puzzled about the height difference.

Well 600 lbs accounts for some of it for sure.

Okay, so I got the hitch installed and went for a ride, followed by parking and measuring.
Almost 7" between the truck bed rail and the trailer at the back end of the truck.

Looking at the photo it sure seems to me like GD put the 5er axles way to far forward. More reward would raise the rear of the 5er up and make it sit more level. The axles look like they're almost centered. Maybe it's the angle of the photo.

Just from the photo, my thought is Don't remove the 2" spacer on the truck since it looks level now.
Do try lowering the hitch by one hole, since 7" is a good amount of clearance.
The re-arched springs or larger diameter tires are something to consider.
Your trailer has the same "too close to the ground" rear jacks. Wondered if yours has the pinned/removable feet.

I think your OK. I would not drop the pin. You will need that 7". Is the rig loaded and how much gear will you have in the truck? When the front black and gray tanks start to fill you will notice it level out.The rear axle on the trailer is currently loaded more than the front based on bogie angle. I suggest finding a CAT scale and getting axle weights.

As you have the 12v fridge being level is not near as important. Just keep an eye on the rear tire wear as the trailer pivots on the front axle.

Assuming you have 15" wheels 235/80/16 will fit as that is what I have You will get 1.5" of lift. You may get a 235/85/16 to fit which is 2" overall over the 15"

Also take measurements from the frame at the front of the trailer to the ground, and the rea to the ground now, and the after you load the trailer. Ill bet things improve on being level when loaded. BTW we store out can goods, etc under the bed to keep the weight out of the pantry

Now an easy way to check the squat when loaded is put 5 gallon buckets of water in the back of the truck over the axle (next to the hitch). When full the buckets will weigh roughly 40lbs each

I agree those stabilizer jacks are way too low - can they be raised? I believe there is a thread on the GD site about that issue.

I agree the truck is fine and pretty much level in the pic.
The trailer was not loaded like when we go somewhere, just partially.
We don't have the 12v fridge, so being level is a good thing.
So bigger tires/wheels can help, but only half as much as the diameter increases, so maybe not enough. I'll have to do math in private, lol. Might need lifting blocks to begin with...
A trip to the scales is in order, but probably not until we are loaded for bear...which won't be until next spring.
As for the jacks, they are as high as they can go. Have not hit anything yet, knock on wood.
Looking closely at the pic, the rear of the trailer makes an angle with the frame of the pic, on purpose. I can use this angle to help determine how much lift I need.

LOL on the tire math. I have a post on the GD site, and here I think when I did the math to upgrade to 16" wheels. It's not just the rim diameter, but the overall tire diameter your going from a 27" OD to a 31" OD at 16", Just measure carefully for clearance - you will want 3" over the tire.

Have you looked into a Gen Y pin box? That seems to solve many problems with these fivers and the higher bed rails.

They are used on Momentum and New Horizon fivers for those exact issue. This may be another one that fires into that category.

    Worth checking out…
