We had one blow up at about 12k miles at approx 16 months. Did about $2k damage to the trailer (GD Imagine 2600RB). The tires were ST205/75R 15 and we had them at the recommended 80 psi. (I'd checked pressure that morning.)
Not sure about reason for failure, but when we took it in shortly thereafter for a damage estimate, there was great concern by one of the mechanics about the others blowing soon. I am one of those trailer drivers that annoy folks on the interstate, driving at 65 mph, so we weren't over speed.
We were reimbursed for the cost of the tire (a little over $100), but not our insurance deductible. We bought four new Gladiator tires that are working well so far.

I have absolutely nothing to add to the discussion, I just wanted to make a post on the 100th page of a thread.

Well, I will help again to get to the thousand mark!
The Heartland tires I got last year are awsome, that was after my worries, but they are just fine.
Also need to get away again as they have sat for almost a month now without moving. Need exercise for sure!!!
tires, not me.Jeff & Karen

Had 4 years on our Westlakes with ZERO issues. Changed all 5 to Goodyear Endurance early this year for a big trip. So far I've had to replace two. First was only two days after install and noticed it was not holding air. Took it back to the tire store for inspection prior to the trip. Turns out the rubber lining was separating allowing air to leak out. Less than 5 miles on that one. Second one started to develop a bubble on the side after 4000 miles (could have been caused by a pothole but who knows.) That's two out of five tires within 30 days. Time will tell how well the others hold up.
