    Dinette table supports

I had a child jump on the dinette table when it was in the down position with the pads over it and it bent the horizontal support legs of the table so they no longer were at 90 degrees to the verticle supports. Noticed it when the table was back up in the eating position that it now wobbled. I was able to bend the angle brackets and stuffed the horizontal supports with a wood plug to make them more difficult to crush and then made these 1x1 oak ledges and screwed them to the dinette benches to support the table in the down position so it was supported on both edges.

I did the same thing but also replaced the collapsible metal base with two metal posts with post holders I found online. We don't drop it very much but found it awkward to do. I used pvc with tape to help fit more tightly to be used as posts when it is in the lowered position. No more wobble and very easy to swap out.

How did you fasten the post holder to the floor? Did the bolts or screws go all the way through the floor to the underside of the slide? The advantage of the collapsible table is that you can take it outside but that is probably very rarely done as there is usually a picnic table. I know in the few trips we've been on with this new TT that we've always used the table indoors only.

Nice! I've been thinking of doing the same for mine, the table just isn't stable when down in the bed position.

I pulled a screw out from the seats to see what length they used and just matched that amount of engagement. At first I just got one post and though of somehow attaching the one end to the wall but then opted for two. I added those two side rails similar to the first post pics for more stability and they don't get in the way at all. I think this is the post:
