We started with the little green bottles with our 17" Blackstone.
I have since migrated over to using a BBQ sized propane tank with the adapter. I put the tank in a plastic milk crate so it doesn't roll around in the back of the pickup. I use this same tank with our fire-pit.
I never liked the idea of being tethered to the trailer's propane supply but that's just me. YRMV
We enjoy moving the grill from spot to spot as needed.
We recently bought a 22" Blackstone and will use the same set up.

With my 22" Blackstone, I plumbed a 25' hose to the coach 30. Have a couple of 1lb. in the basement if I want to use it somewhere else (never have). I would imagine 1lb. would mt quick with a griddle. I used to use a 20# but got tired of lugging it in and out of the truck.

I have an adapter hose that goes from my Coleman Roadtrip grill, about 25 ft long, to a standard LP tank fitting. It originally took the 1 lb bottles. (still can)
Sometimes I use the tank on the door side of the fifth wheel, sometimes I use a 10lb LP tank I found.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

No need to lug if you use a lightweight fiberglass propane tank.

Woof, $157 for a 10 lb. tank. I think I'll stick to my extension hose and leave the tank in the trailer.

A regular tank costs at least $50
Fiberglass lasts longer
Doesn’t rust
1/3 lighter
Can see propane level left
You can find on sale for less than a hundred if you are able to
Wait
Price is a red herring
