New members, new to RVing, soon to be FULL-TIMERS

After making the decision to sell our home in NW Washington state. We decided that a life on the open road exploring our country was the direction we wanted to go.

A ton of internet research later, we purchased a 2020 Ford F250 for our tow vehicle.

For our new home, we decided on a 2022 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK

We should be taking delivery of the TT mid September and as long as the supply chain doesn't hinder our delivery, intend to live full-time as we travel. About the only thing making me nervous is the short lead time we have to prep the trailer for full-time living after taking delivery. It becomes a bit more dicey as my wife and I have absolutely ZERO RVing experience.

    Congratulations!

We also ran the "short lead time" line prior to full-timing. Work your plan, but expect it to change rapidly.

It was a little more difficult to execute some of the changes/upgrades while living in the new rig, but we also started getting a real quick feel for what we wanted to see, what worked, what wouldn't, etc....

    Good luck and Welcome!

    WhittleBurner,

Have you decided where to domicile yet?
Thanks for the welcome! We have no plan to put roots down in any location. We plan to move throughout the country for our adventure and see where it takes us.

One of the main focuses of our journey is to visit areas with great mountain biking/ hiking options.

I think @WhittleBurner was asking if you plan on using a mail service and the like (there are a few popular services that cater to fulltimers).

bobbygreenwell is correct. You need a physical address to get mail, insurance license plates etc. You don't have to live someplace to domicile.

Ahhhh, that makes much more sense. Sorry, I'm so new to this life that I haven't gotten all of the terms down! For now we intend to forward our mail to a family member.
