Fridge on 12v drains battery overnight???

So this has been bubbling along for a while. I added a battery disconnect and solar trickle charge to my system and thought all was good.
Late yesterday I connected my battery to run the fridge on 12v. The battery was fully charged. This morning we went to load the fridge. It was cold, but the battery was dead.

I'm going to start troubleshooting, but curious what the parasitic drain should be?

Also...is it unreasonable to ask a battery to run the fridge for 12 hours.

I've never had this issue so not quite sure where to look first...other than to test the drain at the battery?

    Is this a 12v compressor fridge or a 2 way gas/electric?

When i run the fridge i run it on gas, so it uses just a little electricity. probably to power the fans in case of getting rid of the warm air into the exhaust, the light inside the fridge. I have never ran it just on batteries alone, even though it's an option on the Dometic in the 2610ML. When primary is set to propane, it uses very little electricity.

I would say your battery is bad
Just because it shows a full charge doesn’t mean it is any good
Should be able to run the fridge longer than that imo

Running 100% of the time (unlikely) for 12 hours at the 2.75 amps listed above would drain 33 amp hours. I would think most any RV battery should be able to handle that provided there aren't any other loads.

If running of inverter that ends up being over 30a an hour. If on gas battery should easily do that.

Running a fridge on 12v will kill batteries in a few hours or so. The 12v setting is designed to use while traveling , the converter recharges the battery while you roll down the road. Not any of the trailers we've had would be last long on 12v.

As others have stated, pre chill on propane and you should be ok

There is no “12volt” setting on his fridge

It is a two way gas /electric
