    Underbelly removal ??

    Hi ,

Has anyone removed the underbelly cover on their trailer? I know there are the lag bolts holding it up around the frame, but is there any thing else I may run into when taking it off? I'm trying to determine if my fresh water tank line has an air leak or a faulty check valve somewhere.

I have never taken the whole thing down, however, I have taken out enough of it in sections that I know there are a few Phillips head screws.

I don't think you will find lag bolts holding up the underbelly, they use a Tek screw with a 3/8" socket head. Beware when you take this down, wires will be laying on top of the black underbelly sheet material. You will have some spray foam around cut outs, this will need to be cut to allow the underbelly to drop. Be careful when you put the belly back up, watch the loose wires. You will have no problem dropping it down, and putting it back up.

Great thanks for the tips guys. I only want to drop the front half of the cover to expose the tanks. I'm looking for a check valve or leak in the fresh water inlet pie/hose as it seems to be sucking air especially when a water faucets running at half or lower.

Are you sure the valve is turned to the correct spot? If mine is not turned to the exact right spot I get air in the line and the pump won't shut off.
