I'm going with the Reese Goose Box (I don't want to create a warranty issue). I asked their CS about issues relating to the pinbox hitting the bed cover rails... the guy I spoke to had no idea... he kept saying that I should have 6 inches above the bed rails.

Once I have the truck and RV, I'll be able to measure everything to be sure.

What made it go up that much?

I too will be buying a new cover for our new truck. We will be going with the same cover we have had for 8 years now. That is the Truxedo deuce 2. This cover has a big opening you can open next to the cab if you want to get something without having to roll the whole cover up. We have used this feature a lot over the years. Talking to All American Truck Accessories they told me that Truxedo is the only manufacturer right now that has a cover that works with the multi functional tail gate.

I am a second third forth or fifth on the retrax. Of course I only have the truck for one reason and that is towing. Of course having the mega cab it is a bit of a stretch to look back there but by putting down the rear seat and hiking my butt up a little I can maneuver the truck with out any problem into place and lock up the bed when i'm not towing. I have the policarbonate/plastic or what ever it is.

I got the Ford accessories roller, witch is really is a BAK2, the new one is a X4S, fits over the Reese 20k fifth wheel hitch in the bed, easy roll up and doesn’t cover up the back window like the sectional folding types

Well I had the first "ouch" with the MX4. Was backing the rig into its new barn for the first time after some warranty service. Gave myself a lot of room for the swing. Unfortunately too much room such that the truck was into the grass leaning a bit to the passenger's side and the rig was leaning a bit to the driver's side. The result was that the edge of the nose hit the edge of the tonneau cover. Did about 2" diameter damage to the rig. Turns out I didn't need that much room so won't do that again. Goes to show that even if we think everything is fine, if the situation changes from normal, might not be fine. Dealer had put a gouge in the nose with their forklift hitch so has to go back for that. They will be fixing a little bit more.

She does look good in her storage home though.

Have the Extang Trifecta soft fold. Like it but it took me 1500 miles to figure out rubber bands could keep the extra length of the front clip straps from hitting the rear window of the truck and find out that the annoying squeaking noise was due to the tonneau working its way forward and rubbing against the rear of the cap. Front right clamp was never clamped to the bed - just the tonneau itself which would slide forward every travel day. Scratched the back of the cab pretty well.
