I decided to install an on / off valve for the toilet. It was the only thing that did not have a valve in our Solitude.

I got a lot of comments about using hose clamps on FB. One person said he used 5/8" fittings with hose clamps and that fit better. Another person used shark bite (1/2"). I used 1/2" . I really have never had trouble with hose clamps on big washing machines in my 32 year career.

Did you purchase new nuts for the wet bolts? I'm pretty sure they are one time use, they are deforming lock nuts.

The kit I bought with new shackles that were thin, compared to the MorRyde ones, came with bolts and nuts.

Nice find. I experienced the same thing. GD uses either too thin a wire or too big a lug in that area.

    Thanks
With low voltage things, sometimes you can do a wiggle test. I got a little action and just started checking each wire and make the connections better.

I replaced the bathroom fan with a Heng's Vortex II fan. No instructions came in the box, but I figured it out. I like it much better than the tiny offset one that was OEM.

The steps leading up to the bedroom had this cheap wood handle, screwed into the 'wall' (aka lauan plywood) with two #10 wood screws. Guaranteed to yank out the first time you slip and make the mistake of grabbing the hand rail. Had some wood scraps and hardware lying around the garage. Made a backer board, painted to match one of the cabinets. Anchored on one end into the door frame and on the other end into an exterior stud. Used two handrail brackets I had in the garage, they were different colors so I spray painted them to match and put a matt sealer on them. Then the actual handrail was glued together out of a base plus an old closet rod. Lots of sanding, a Min-wax stain which was color matched to another of the cabinets, and then a couple of coats of clear poly.

Replaced bathroom vent with Max Air fan and installed vent covers on both vent fans (my main vent was already a Max Air fan).
