We've had a few last minute cancellations for the Quartzsite Rally. Everyone on the waitlist has had a chance, so I've opened up the regular ordering portal until we run out of slots. Ordering will close Jan 1 regardless.

No, not yet. I think they are working on a solar area and a gen area.

Does that mean, if you use your generator at all you are stuck in the area where others may use theirs to the maximum?

I’ve just heard requests for separate areas, but not sure if that’s logistically possible. It is BLM land and people can do as they wish. I don’t think it will be that big of a problem.

I was only wondering because, while we do use our generator, it's typically only for a couple of hours in the early evening. But I know people will run theirs up until the cutoff time because they can/want to have the power all the time.

I was kind of hoping to be in the same area we were last year......

We're gonna try; we'll see how well it works. No generator police - honor system. If you are mostly solar, but need a generator to charge up a bit between 8am and 7pm sometimes, you're OK. If you need your generator at 7am for the hair dryer and plan to run it several hours during the day, you're a generator person.

I don't like generator noise at all so I might just stay in my spot way up on the hill.
It's nice and quiet up there. The only guests are coyotes and the odd bearded stranger in a Subaru.

Putting 200 rigs/400 people in a smallish area is going to be noisy no matter what we do, but it's a big desert and staying in an isolated location is a good option.
