FYI: there is a Ranger in La Posa South. If you don’t have a seasonal sticker, they can fine you.

So you can not fill with water there unless you are staying there?

My understanding is you cannot use any of the facilities there unless you have an LTVA sticker, regardless of which location you’re in.

If the shutdown wasn’t happening, you could not lawfully dump or get water without paying the $40 for 2 weeks or $180 for the season. People here are paying for the services. The volunteers aren’t here watching, but the Rangers are still in full effect.

Unfortunately we can't make it to Quartzsite for the rally but hoping to make it next year. We've never camped in Quartzsite and was wondering if anyone from the rally is staying over for the 3-day weekend. We're thinking about joining some friends there the 17th thru the 21st but not sure where to look for open camp areas. I understand there is a lot of BLM land to park on but afraid it will be so busy that finding a good site might be like looking for a needle in a haystack. We prefer a little space without big crowds. Any specific suggestions for good areas to look?

Requesting all able bodied volunteers to join us by Keith's Momentum at 9:30 am tomorrow morning to raise the event tents.

    Thanks - Jim

So I guess I pass the camping area and head into Quartzsite for water unless I find some going from the south

This place is North a few miles in Quartzite and has water, dump and propane.
We’ve been going here for the past month.

We will be around for the big RV Show the week after the rally however, we have full hook ups in town. A good site is just about any where that you can get that's flat and if it has a fire ring....you're really doing well. I would suggest looking in the same area that the rally is in.....just past mile marker 99 as you head south from Quartzsite. Finding a little space without big crowds.....may require going a little further than four or five miles out of town.....especially the week of the big tent show. We drove all through the desert five or six days ago and it was already getting pretty busy five miles out.
