    Springs

    Hi all,
I have committed to purchase a 2018 Imagine 2600RB by private sale. I've been reading allot about springs but most of what I'm seeing is with the Reflection 5th wheel. Should the springs/axles be a concern for me? Anything else that has been a pattern failure that I should be concerned with and check out? Thanks.

One of the leaves on mine broke, have about 25k miles on them, other than that no problem.

Looking to replace them, any recommendations, should I buy stronger ones than the OEMs, etc.

Believe I have the 5500# axles.

    Thx,
    John

There has been at least one Imagine model where there have been posts regarding GDRV building later models with higher rated axle/springs than the original builds. I do not recall the model(s) and hopefully someone who knows or has one will do so. While there have been posts on some other areas as with most any RV, I do not recall a repetitive problem area.

You can conduct a search on key terms of interest to you and find threads to learn more.

John - not to take the OPs thread any further off track, but you may recall some of us have updated to 6K axles and or springs on one or both sides. If you have not done so, get with Rob @Cate&Rob and Rob will be happy to share what he did and fill and some others I suspect.

By the way our (and yours s/b too) original axles are 5200. I did upgrade to 6K axles, springs, and 16" tires/wheels last spring. Was all done at the GDRV factory service center.

The 2600RB LCI springs 2017 and 2018 are inadequate. This link is for your reading pleasure https://www.mygrandrv.com/forum/show...php/11008-Axle. I had a local truck spring and alignment shop order the springs and do the work. No waiting or high cost like an RV dealer.
