As for salt...I beach camp on inland lakes...And yes, there are sometimes more than one truck trying to move a trailer off the beach.

+1 for cg in Myrtle Beach. It was as close as we want our RV to get to the beach. Beach was just a short walk and we didn't have to worry about getting stuck.

Agree on these points. We did it recently (in California, so probably not appropriate for the OP), and when we got back home I spent several hours with salt-away cleaning the undercarriage of the truck and trailer. While we were there there was a very high tide and people ended up driving right through the saltwater - I cringed each time I saw that. I did a short youtube video on this: https://youtu.be/EbsqJbkxrYg

Campgrounds in Myrtle Beach. We like Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Depending on the site you can see the ocean, or certainly here it. This is a great compromise. Anytime you don't have to drive to the beach is a plus. Ocean Lakes is also good. They have concrete pads on a lot of their sites. Their roads inside the park are called alleys for a reason!

There is a place in Texas, Port Arkansas. The sand is very hard pack. You can drive your trailer, whatever it be, on the beach with little fear of getting stuck.
I have been to the beach down on the cape. And that's no place to bring a trailer. i was quite surprised by the number of class C campers out there. Thanks for all the replies.
