I'm curious why I can't find this info on the Grand design website? It shows other recalls but not the one mentioned in this post? Any thoughts?

We have a WINNTec regulator so I contacted GD CS via email this morning giving my VIN# and received a response within a couple hours:
“At this time no new recall has been officially approved or implemented so unfortunately we don’t have any information at this time. We will make sure that customers and dealers are updated as soon as information is available.”2010 Tundra SR5 DC 5.7L 4x4

It is NOT an 'official' recall until the manufacturer (Grand Design) issues the dealer notices and then the owner notices. The full details are in the NHTSA Safety Recall Report at the NHTSA URL below that was previously provided by @EsquireRV. It's not a recall until the manufacturer says it is a recall with the dealer and owner notices.

I have already ordered a new regulator because I'm not waiting a month to be notified that there is a safety problem with a $40 part. I'll take care of it myself and move on. I may send GD the old regulator and receipt for potential reimbursement but not expecting it. I was at a dealer yesterday looking for a regulator and he said, "No leave the Winntec on there until you get the recall notice so it will be covered." I prefer not to risk a fire to the TT so I can get a $40 part replaced for free. I spent that much on my PEX crimping pliers, I think I can cover a new regulator.
The report states there is a 10% defect rate on 55,508 units so there are 5,508 regulators that could potentially fail. I usually only win the bad luck lotteries, like this one, so I'm replacing mine now.Mike & Lisa

I ordered the Flame King (KT12ACR6a) after looking until my eyes were crossed. Another forum member ordered this one so I followed.
