    Warranty Approval

    What is an acceptable amount of time to wait to have warranty work approved by GD? There are lots of good (and a few bad stories) on the forum with respect to warranty work but what is an acceptable time frame before the issue should be escalated?

    Never had to wait more than overnight for approval once the dealer put in the request. Most times the dealer just did the work even before GD replied.

    You can call GD yourself and confirm your dealer has submitted approval paperwork. I hope you won't be too shocked to learn your dealer most likely is the reason why you are still waiting for approval.

    Dropped mine off at a dealer on a Monday, they called that Friday with GD approval (three wks ago). Dealer may have waited a few days before submitting. Now I'm waiting for the fire to subside, & the smoke to clear in Redding so I can go pick it up! (they have been evacuated for a few days)

    Thanks! They just called me. They had it in their shop working on it when they evacuated. They are back today & should be done with it by tomorrow.
