Dometic DM2862RBFX Refrigerator Icing at Door

    2019 GD Reflection 295RL with a Dometic DM2862RBFX Refrigerator.
After 4 months full time RVing freezer is icing along the top edge at the door gasket.
There is a daily ice buildup. Door is always latched closed. Food is staying frozen. Running on electric not propane. See photo.

Have you tried the dollar test to confirm the seal? With door open put a dollar so that it hangs out when the door is closed. Close the door, can you easily pull the dollar out? All the way around the door? You may have some areas that are not sealing well.

Thank you. I will try that and suspect it will fail. What can I do to repair the lack of a good seal?

I listen to an appliance repair guy on the radio. His suggestion for getting a better seal from the door seals is to use a hair dryer and heat the seal while pulling on it to expand it. You probably don't want to use too high a heat setting. My fridge has a similar problem. I hope to try this method when we bring it out of storage net week. The fridge has been the major and pretty much the only problem we have on our 2019 2500RL.

I am experiencing this as well. The model number for this fridge is DM2882RBFX. Since we only use it on weekends we have just dealt with it and do frequent defrosts. I more permanent fix would be awesome!!!! I will try the hair dryer trick this weekend
