The skeptic in me makes me ask, was the letter you posted printed with a Grand Design letter head (official correspondence) and was it signed by Grand Design? I think there should also have been a phone number to call for questions.

Thank you for the photo. I am pleasantly surprised they are offering this, but this should show other skeptics like me that Grand Design is truly a stand up company.

The tone of the letter reminds me of the letter everyone got on the lack of proper insulation behind rigs equipped with Convection/Microwave units. One difference was we were given the option of replacing that ourselves. Heck, go fer it!

This just doesn’t pass the smell test to me. I just avoid the dealer if I can because if anyone can screw something up, they can! So, nobody else got this letter??? Very odd.

I received the letter yesterday. Glanced at it quickly and filed it in the circular file. I own a 21BHE which has no slides. Guessing it's just a mass mailer for Imagine buyers of those years. At least GD is proactive.

I have a 2021 2500RL in Florida and got my letter earlier this week and thought it was odd. My dealer is 2 hours away so I don't see taking it in just for this but good to know.

And an interesting update on the LP regulators. Mine failed months before the recall so I had already upgraded it and ignored the recall. GD reached out last week and will now accept a photo of the replacement to clear the recall.

Sounds like it wouldn’t hurt for them to check the seals but, will take them probable\y four months for them to do it. I just had mine at lazy days and was three months. Rv show is this week.

We have a 2018, 2970 RL and I have not seen this letter yet, and I DO have some trouble with the seal under the through frame slide out. About a 1 foot section tore out. Sure would be handy if that letter showed up.

I don't recall my previous recall mentioning the state i was registered in. I wonder if it is something that Florida is making them due or a problem they are only really seeing in Florida? Maybe we will see more members mention this.

A class action suit was filed in Florida for Grand Design slide seal problems. I assume that is why the recall was issued, at least for Florida registered units.
