Equalizer replacement

I'm looking to replace my equalizer with the Dexter E-Z Flex. The picture shows my current equalizer. Googling EQ-E1 doesn't identify the manufacturer. I'm hoping someone can reply that they replaced a similar equalizer with the E-Z Flex without an issue and the part# used.

I got a reply back from Moryde about trimming the hanger so I'm not going with CRE3000

I had the same response from MORryde and also didn’t want to modify the equalizer hanger so I chose the Dexter E-Z flex kit K71-653-00.

However, before buying it I called Dexter’s customer service with my axle part number to verify the equalizer was made by Dexter. I would encourage you to do the same to be sure. They answered my question immediately.

Put the Dexter E-Z Flex with the Morryde Shackles & Wet Bolts with no problems. You can clink the link above to see my previous post.

Someone on here was able to install the CRE3000 without modifying the hanger on a 22mle I believe which is the same hanger and axle as your model. Let me see if I can dig itbup.

He got his done before I called Morryde & I told them that someone else with the same hangers had them installed by their own shop. She told me that each trailer is different? Not sure how since the hangers look identical. Didn't want to put them on with out modifying then have a "told you so" situation. That's why I went with the Dexter's.

I saw that thread back then too after I already had the E-Z Flex installed, which was a result of MORryde’s customer service saying a hanger mod was necessary based on the pictures I sent them.

So far I’m satisfied. Pot holes are smoother compared to the stock equalizer. Two full camping seasons and no issues to report to date. Another reason for us to upgrade to wet bolts was to replace the stock nylon bushings. From what I’ve read they might last just one season.

Don't get me wrong, I would have made the same decision you guys made. I wouldn't have modified the hanger either, specially that they were asking to remove some.
I'm still not sure I'd want to chance Morryde.

I have a 2020 21bhe and my hanger looks the same as yours. Morryde in Elkhart installed the cre3000 on my trailer and I've not had any problems. They did not modify the hanger in any way.
