The 150 Series is GD's budget line. That being said, the quality in my 260RB is far superior to the Forest River product that we moved up from. It really doesn't surprise or disappoint me that GD uses "veneer" over particleboard.
One often-overlooked option is painting. If you remove the contact paper and prep the underlying material, the surface could then be painted. This is a method used by people restoring vintage RVs, the results can be very impressive.Stephen and Judy

My Solitude is probably 95% contact paper over pressed wood. It's sort of sad. I think maybe only the cabinet doors and drawer fronts may actually be wood.
I asked the DW if I could replace the washer/dryer closet door with a wood louver door and the bedroom door with a hollow core door for weight savings but it got nixed. I'm still trying to convince her - those doors are HEAVY!
The only RV I ever had that was just about all real wood was a Tiffin motorhome. I think their 5th wheels are all wood too.
I think wood is actually lighter than all the pressed board.Larry KE4DMG

Actually you may be right, but it sure wouldn't be the same price.Howard and Peggy

Pressboard or Chipboard is way heavier than ply or woods like alder.
It also deteriorates much faster if it's exposed to water.
But it's cheap $$$.
